- Control valve head: a full-automatic control system, responsible for automatic execution of the system's operation, backwashing, regeneration and other functions to ensure efficient and stable operation of the equipment.
- Salt tank: used to store and dissolve regeneration salt, through the brine into the softening tank for resin regeneration.
- Piping system: including water inlet, outlet, drain, etc. The connection can be threaded or flanged to ensure smooth water flow.
Automation Control and Regeneration Process
The automated control of the single-tank, single-valve water softening system makes the operation process easier. The control valve automatically starts the regeneration process according to the set time or water volume. The regeneration process is usually divided into the following steps:
- Backwashing stage: The resin is flushed by reversing the water flow to remove the impurities accumulated in the resin.
- Salt absorption stage: Salt solution from the salt tank is drawn into the system and the sodium ions in the resin are exchanged with the calcium and magnesium ions in the water.
- Slow rinsing stage: The resin is further cleaned using a slow water flow to remove residual salt.
- Rapid rinse stage: The resin is rinsed of excess salts by rapid water flow, completing the regeneration process.
